Easy Jackfruit Rice (Kathal Biryani)
I saw Kathal Biryani recipe on a TV show first time and thought of giving it a shot. My first attempt turned out to be okay. It was tasty, but I was not completely satisfied so I decided to give it another shot, and just making with my intuition. And the result as I was expecting turned out to be great and everyone in my family liked it.
Also, I got quicker with the second time around. It is just a matter of some practice. I am sure you will be able to master it on the first go! I have simplified the lengthy procedure for you.

Biryani is full of flavors and is cooked differently in various parts of India and is most popular for its non-vegetarian versions. But on Deliciously Vegetarian, we will take our Biryani to whole new level with the addition of jackfruit.
What is a Jackfruit?
Jackfruit is very popular in Asian countries, some use it in desserts while some for savory dishes. You might get your hands on it in Asian grocery stores. Best if you can find fresh otherwise frozen, but your last option should be the canned version. Honestly, I have never tried the canned version but I believe it is not as great as the fresh one!
