Ingredients to make this Mango Mocktail

Mango Pulp

You can use fresh mangoes or store-bought mango pulp. If you’re using fresh mangoes, Alphonso or Kesar mangoes work great, as they don’t have a lot of fibrous flesh. You can find mango pulp in all Indian grocery stores. Again, Alphonso or Kesar mango pulp works best for this mango mocktail.

Sprite

Any lemon-lime soda works, but Sprite gives the best balance of sweetness and fizz. If you want to avoid all the sugar, replace Sprite with club soda. The natural sweetness from nago pulp alone should suffice.

Step-by-Step Recipe to Make Mango Mocktail

Step 1: Prepare the Mango Pulp

If you’re using fresh mangoes, peel and chop them before blending until smooth. For convenience, store-bought mango pulp works just as well. Make sure it’s chilled for a cooler mocktail. You can easily find mango pulp in any Indian grocery store. Adjust the amount of sprite based on whether you get sweetened or unsweetened mango pulp.

Step 2: Mix the Ingredients

In a glass, pour the mango pulp. Then, slowly add Sprite, allowing the fizz to rise naturally. Stir gently to combine without losing too much carbonation. Your drink level will seem to reduce as the carbonation wears off. You can refill it with Sprite if needed.

Step 3: Add Ice & Garnish

Drop in some ice cubes to keep the drink extra refreshing. Make sure you leave enough room for the drink to rise when you add ice cubes. You can use crushed ice also. Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a slice of lemon for a pop of color and added freshness. I’ve garnished mine with fresh basil leaves for a spicy punch.

Variations

Want to mix things up? Here are some fun variations to try:

  • Mango Mint Cooler – Blend a few fresh mint leaves with mango pulp before mixing with Sprite for a cooling effect. You can also use a shaker and jigger to crush the mint leaves to extract just the oil.
  • Spicy Mango Mocktail – Add a pinch of chaat masala or black salt for a tangy, spicy kick.
  • Mango Lemonade Fizz – Swap half the Sprite with lemonade for a citrusy twist.
  • Frozen Mango Slush – Blend mango pulp with ice cubes before adding Sprite for a slush-like consistency.
  • Mango Coconut Delight – Add a splash of coconut milk for a tropical touch.

Mango Mocktail -Serving Suggestions

  • With Snacks – Pair this mocktail with crispy samosas, nachos, or spicy chaat. Wash down the snacks with this bubbly mocktail.
  • At Parties – Serve in fancy glasses with a sugared rim for a festive touch. You can also mix salt with Kashmiri red chilli powder and coat the rim of the glasses for a spicy kick.
  • By the Pool – Enjoy it in a chilled glass with a straw while basking in the summer sun. Add plenty of ice to keep it cold.
  • As a Dessert Drink – Serve it alongside mango-flavored desserts like mango mousse or mango ice cream for a double mango treat! Is there anyone who would refuse a double mango treat?

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Can I use fresh mangoes instead of mango pulp? Absolutely! Just blend fresh ripe mangoes until smooth and strain if you prefer a smoother texture.

2. Can I make this ahead of time? It’s best served fresh to enjoy the fizziness, but you can prepare the mango pulp in advance and mix it with Sprite when ready to serve.

3. What other sodas can I use instead of Sprite? You can use 7UP, club soda, or even ginger ale for a different flavor profile.

4. Is this mocktail too sweet? Mango pulp is naturally sweet, and Sprite adds some more sugar. If you prefer a less sweet version, mix in some soda water.

5. Can I make a large batch for a party? Yes! Just mix mango pulp and Sprite in the ratio of 1:3 in a large pitcher. For example, if you take one cup of mango pulp, take 3 cups of Sprite. Serve immediately so the soda doesn’t go flat.

Mango season won’t last forever, so make the most of it with this quick, delicious, and refreshing Mango Mocktail. Try it today, and let the tropical flavors take over!
